Outside Maps is a geographic mapping application compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices, designed to facilitate the viewing and navigation of diverse mapping datasets through an intuitive touch interface.

The application supports Ordnance Survey mapping for Great Britain at multiple scales, including 1:50,000, along with comprehensive worldwide coverage for OpenStreetMap, OpenCycleMap, and various map sources from Stamen and Thunderforest.

Historical datasets are included, offering 1-inch Ordnance Survey maps from the periods 1880–1990 and 1921–1947, generously provided by the National Library of Scotland.

Shaded terrain data is available for the UK, derived from Ordnance Survey OS Terrain 50, with additional shaded relief for Scotland based on Scottish Government 1-meter LIDAR data. The app also incorporates ESRI aerial imagery for enhanced visual context.
